Ms. Marie (Huff) Pierce passed away at Forest Haven Nursing Home in Jonesboro, Louisiana on August 13, 2025. She was 93 years old.  Known for her gentle spirit and boundless love, Marie touched the hearts of everyone who knew her. She never missed a chance to tell someone she loved them, often with her favorite phrase, "I love you with a bushel and a peck and a hug around the neck." Her deep faith in the Lord shone through in her life, and she cherished every opportunity to attend church and worship.

A graveside service will be held at Crowville Masonic Cemetery near Crowville, Louisiana (LA Hwy 17) on Friday, August 15, 2025 at 11:00 AM with Bro. Bennie Joe McVay officiating.  Burial will be under the direction of Southern Edmonds Funeral Home of Jonesboro.

Marie is survived by her sisters, Mary Corbett and Katherine Morgan; brother, Richard Huff; nephew, Eric Fox; great niece, Misty Jones; great-granddaughter, Debra Darter; nieces, DeWanna King (Mike) and Judy West (Mike); and a host of other nieces, nephews and friends.

She was preceded in death by her by her husband, O'Quinn Pierce; father, George N. Huff; mother, Mellie Viola (Fox) Huff;  sister, Jessie Mae Fox; brothers, Marvin Huff, George Huff, Jr. and Ervin Huff.
