Mr. Loyd Richard Horn, age 73 of Montgomery, Louisiana, passed away December 24, 2023 at the V.A. Hospital in Pineville, Louisiana. Ricky was a proud U.S. Army Veteran of the Vietnam War. After serving in the Army, he worked over 30 years in the oil field as a production operator. He was an avid hunter, although deer hunting was his passion. He enjoyed family gatherings that included cooking and having a few toddy's. He will be deeply missed by his children, family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Patricia M.  Horn.  Mr. Horn is the son of the late Richard Bailey Horn and the late Yvonne Keiffer Theriot.  He was also preceded in death by his sister Lavonne Horn and his nephew Jesse Horn.

Those left to cherish his memory include his four children Tammy Horn Sarver (Shannon), Theresa Horn Simon (Darrell), Leigh Ann Horn, and Chase Horn (Kirsten C.).   He is also survived by his grandchildren Jerrica, Adam, Dakota, Garrett, Mason, Gracie, Gabrielle, Leighton, and Leelyn, great grandchildren Ryleigh, Karleigh, Colton, Bailey, Annaleigh, and Liam (on the way), brothers Tommy Horn (Lisa) and Doug Horn (Ruthie) and like a brother Michael G. Horn, as well as several nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews and cousins.

Memorial services will be held at 1:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Southern Funeral Home in Winnfield, Louisiana with Bro. Casey Clement officiating.  Friends may visit with the family in the funeral home on Friday from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and on Saturday from 11:00 a.m. until time of services.
