Louise (Williams) Rowton, 90 of Jena, Louisiana was received into Heaven on Friday, May 31, 2024.
She was born on Saturday, February 10, 1934, in Gilbert, Louisiana to the union of Rufus Williams and Ethel (Wallace) Williams.
Ms. Louise loved people, she worked at the LaSalle Nursing and Rehab for over 18 years. She was an avid reader and loved word puzzles. She was a homemaker, loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She will be missed by all who knew her.
Ms. Louise was preceded in death by her parents, her husband David James Rowton, Sr. of 52 years, a daughter Brenda Gayle (Rowton) Pritchard, four (4) brothers J.C. Williams, Harry Williams, Shelby Williams, and Rufus "Cosmo" Williams, and two (2) sisters Pauline "Fat" (Williams) McFarland, and Maxine (Williams) Calhoun.
Those left to cherish her memory and miss her dearly are two (2) sons David James Rowton, Jr, of Jena and Robert "Bud" Rowton & wife Sandy, of Jena, two (2) daughters Catherine Jones & husband Michael of West Monroe, LA, and Deborah Cruse & husband Jerry, of Bay St. Louis, MS, one (1) Brother Eugene "Pee-Wee" Williams, three (3) sisters Dorothy "Dot" (Williams) Smith, Irma "Lucy" (Williams) Cicet, and Nettie (Williams) Remore, ten (10) grandchildren, twenty-four (24) great-grandchildren, and a host of other family and friends.
The family will receive friends on Monday, June 3, 2024, in the Chapel of Kinner & Stevens, from 10:00 AM until 11:00 AM.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Monday, June 3, 2024, in the Chapel of Kinner & Stevens with Bro. Jim Savage and Bro. Craig Franklin officiating. Ms. Louise will be laid to rest following the service in the Woodland Cemetery, of Jena next to her husband.
Those honored to serve Ms. Louise and the family as pallbearers will be David James Rowton, Jr, Robert "Bud" Rowton, Michael Jones, Jerry Cruse, Sr, Nick Scott, and Dewayne "Pero" Johnson, Honorary pallbearers are Eugene "Pee-Wee" Williams, Jerry Cruse II, and Brandon "Blue" Rowton.
