Mrs. Louise Valerie Kraemer Nugent, 69, of Winnfield, Louisiana, passed away on Monday, March 22, 2025, in Alexandria, Louisiana. She was born on July 27, 1955, in Marrero, Louisiana.

A devoted mother and grandmother, she found great joy in her family and was a source of love and strength to those who knew her. She was a faithful member of First Baptist Church of Winnfield, where she was active in Gail's Gals Sunday School Class.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Wilbert J. Kraemer and Bessie M. Adams Kraemer, as well as her sister, Virginia Lee Badeaux.

Left to cherish her memory are her son, Scott Nugent (Angel) of Winnfield; her daughter, Brandi Nugent; grandchildren, Kaylyn, Dalton, Tayson Nugent, Avery Cook, Valerie Nugent, and Abigail Morgan; and great-granddaughter, Grace Splawn. She is also survived by her brother, Sonny Kraemer (Gladys); niece, Jamie Balotte (Clint); and her fiancé, Randy Rozelle.

Family and friends are invited to pay their respects at Southern Funeral Home on Tuesday, March 25, 2025, from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM. Visitation will resume at First Baptist Church on Wednesday, March 26, 2025, from 1:00 PM until 1:45 PM. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM at First Baptist Church, with John Holland and Jerry Pipes officiating. Burial will follow at Garden of Memories Cemetery.
