Linda Ruth Parham Bamburg, 77, entered into the presence of Jesus on May 19, 2025, at Northern Louisiana Medical Center in Ruston after a brief illness. Linda was born in Haynesville, Louisiana, to Jack and Frances Melton Parham on October 20, 1947. She attended primary schools in Minden, graduated from Minden High School, and earned an associate's degree in business administration and management from Louisiana Tech University.

After marrying Ernie W. Bamburg in 1968, the couple made their home in Winnfield, Louisiana, where they raised two daughters. Linda taught preschool at First Baptist Church and later worked at Plum Creek and the Timbermen Fund in Winnfield. She was bookkeeper for the Tannehill Water System in Winn Parish and was honored by the Louisiana Rural Water Association for her longtime service.

Linda was an active member of First Baptist Church in Winnfield, where she directed children's choir, sang in the adult choir, and taught Sunday School for many years. She was a good friend who loved to laugh and never met a stranger. Linda was generous with her time and talents; her homemade heavenly hash cakes were locally famous. An avid reader, she was passionate about genealogy, mapping her family's history to its roots in England, Scotland, and Ireland and sometimes finding distant cousins online. She loved music and singing, especially Southern gospel, and pink was her "signature color." Linda valued faith and family, enjoyed her grandchildren, and maintained close relationships with extended relatives far and near.

Linda is preceded in death by her parents, Jack and Frances Parham; and her husband of 41 years, Ernie Bamburg.

Left to cherish her memory are her daughters: Leeanne Bamburg Bordelon and husband Kevin of Ruston; Jenny Bamburg Ensminger and husband Bobby, M.D., of Ruston; five grandchildren, Rick Bordelon of Shreveport, Rebecca Bordelon of Baton Rouge, Lauren Ensminger Lolley and husband Ty of Choudrant, Jack Ensminger, and Julianne Ensminger; one sister, Alice Parham Gandy of Athens; one sister-in law, Cindy Bamburg Jordan and husband John Paul of Doyline; three nieces, Christy Gandy Brasher and husband Shawn of Olive Branch, Mississippi; Barbara Gandy Still, D.V.M., and husband Brian of Taylor; Lori Alexander LaRoux of Shreveport; one nephew, Jason Alexander and wife Carrifrances of Ruston; beloved cousins, and great-nieces and nephews.

A celebration of Linda Ruth Parham Bamburg's life will be held Thursday, May 22 at 2 p.m. at First Baptist Church, Winnfield with Rev. John Holland and Dr. Bobby Ensminger officiating. Interment will follow in the Garden of Memories Cemetery under the direction of Southern Funeral Home of Winnfield. Friends may visit with the family at the church from 12 p.m. -2 p.m.

Pallbearers are Kevin Bordelon, Dr. Bobby Ensminger, Rick Bordelon, Jack Ensminger, Ty Lolley, and Jason Alexander. Honorary pallbearers are The Honorable Jacque Derr, Sr., Jimmy Atherton, B.R. Audirsch, Dr. Bill Gaddis, and Tony Acosta.

The family would like to thank Russ Place of Ruston, the Northern Louisiana Medical Center ICU staff, and Allegiance Hospice.
