Lillie Ruth (Edwards) Freeman, age 93 of Jena, Louisiana was received into Heaven on Tuesday, December 27, 2022.

She was born on Saturday, November 23, 1929, in Seminary, Mississippi, to the union of Cleveland Everette & Aleen (Griffith) Edwards.

Mrs. Lillie was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years Alvin Freeman, her parents, sister Mavis Taylor, two brothers George Ray Edwards and Karl Lewis Edwards, and two son in laws James Hardy and K.W. Thomas.

Those left to love and miss her are three daughters Linda Hardy, Lynette Thomas, and Tammy Enterkin (Mike), two sons Alvin Lewis Freeman (Carolyn), and Jerry Freeman (Beth), twelve grandchildren, twenty-seven great grandchildren, and eight great great grandchildren,

The family will receive friends on Thursday, December 29, 2022, at Kinner & Stevens Funeral Home, from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM and again on Friday, December 30, 2022, at Kinner & Stevens Funeral Home, from 9:00 AM until time of services.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, December 30, 2022, at Chapel of Kinner & Stevens with Rev. Brandon Poole and Rev. Johnnie Phillips officiating. Mrs. Lillie will be laid to rest in the Woodland Cemetery east of Jena under the directions of Kinner & Stevens.

Those honored to serve as pallbearers are David Hardy, Tracy Freeman, Raymond Thomas, Eric Freeman, Steven Enterkin, and Delton Hardy, Honorary pallbearers are Brayden Poole, Colton Hardy, Jace Poole, Christopher Verzwyvelt, Ryan Thomas, Demery Freeman, Colby Freeman, Louis Gregory, Isaac Freeman and Zac Tate.
