Leroy Joiner, age 79 of Jena, Louisiana passed from this life on Friday, February 2, 2024.

He was born to the union of Arthur Abram Joiner and Clinie (Spence) Joiner on Friday, July 21, 1944, in Pineville, Florida.

Leroy is preceded in death by a son Mickey Joiner, his parents, three brothers Dewey R. Joiner, Doyle E. Joiner, and Donald Joiner, a sister Barbara Jean (Joiner) Weaver and a grandson Zachary Joiner.

Leroy leaves behind to love and miss him, his wife of 58 years Elaine (Brooks) Joiner, three sons Glen "Slick" Joiner & wife Nori of Jena, Jimmy Joiner of West Monroe, and John Joiner & wife Cheryl of Jena, sister Pat Manley & husband Bobby of Calhoun, four grandsons Braxton Joiner, Brooks Joiner & wife Reagan, Roan Joiner, and Trae Jones, three granddaughters Cassidy Joiner, Bethany Joiner, Lindsay Doughty & husband Jake, a host of other family and friends.

The family will receive friends on Sunday, February 4, 2024, at Kinner & Stevens Funeral Home, from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM, and again on Monday, February 5, 2024, at Oak Grove Baptist Church, from 10:00 AM until time of services.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Monday, February 5, 2024, at Oak Grove Baptist Church with Rev. Johnnie Phillips officiating. Leroy will be laid to rest in the Woodland Cemetery of Jena, under the direction of Kinner & Stevens Funeral Home.

Brad Bradley, Brant Bradley, Doyle Allen Joiner, Travis Glenn, Roan Joiner, and Brooks Joiner will serve Leroy and the family as pallbearers.

Carlos Crooks, Gawan Burgess, Trae Jones, and Jake Doughty are honorary pallbearers.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Jena High School Athletics or the charity of your choice.
