Leonard Roy Henderson, 59, of Georgetown, passed away on September 7,2021 in Georgetown.

Leonard was born in Jena, Louisiana to Leroy and Verlene Henderson on December 17, 1961.   He began working in the oilfield at the age of 17 and never stopped. He married the love of his life, Patty, on August 1,1980 in Georgetown. They were inseparable for 41 years.  A jack of all trades, an extremely hard worker, an avid outdoorsman, a devoted son, husband, father, grandfather, and friend. Many now describe him as irreplaceable. Nothing could bring a bigger smile to his face more than watching his grandchildren do the things they loved.

Leonard is preceded in death by his father Leroy Henderson.

He is survived by his wife Patricia (Patty) Henderson, children Tessa Myrick (Daniel) and Derrick Henderson, sister Darlene Lindgren (Wade), mother Verlene Henderson, grandchildren Bailey Henderson, Brian Henderson, Macie Myrick and Jack Myrick, and many cousins, nieces and nephews.

Graveside services will be held at 10am on Friday, September 10,2021 at the Georgetown Cemetery with Brother Bo Prather officiating.    Services directed by Kinner and Stevens Funeral Home.

Pallbearers will be John Thornton, Zach Thornton, Josh Young, Michael (Hodge) Sullivan, Chad McCartney, and Jim Bob Walton. Honorary Pallbearers will be Terry Oliver, Darwin Fife, and Kevin Salter.
