Larry D'Wayne Campbell of Whitehall, LA. was called home on Monday June 14, 2021. Larry was born on February 21, 1936, to the union of Dresser C. Campbell and Mae M. Campbell both of Whitehall. After completing High School, Larry joined the Navy where he proudly served his country during the Vietnam War bringing supplies to the troops stationed there. After a twenty-year career, Larry retired from the military and began his career in the oilfield as a barge engineer.

Larry married Gay Nell Owens Campbell and together they raised three sons; Larry W. Campbell, J.C. Campbell, and Monty Campbell. They had one daughter Teresa Campbell. Those left to cherish his memory are the above mentioned, children. Nine grandchildren, Amanda, Cassandra, Brandon, Lana, Justin, Amber, Kaylee, Journee, Joseph and four Great Grandchildren.

Larry was preceded in death by his wife, parents, one sister Juanita Young, and one Granddaughter Karen Campbell.

Visitation will be held at Kinner & Stevens chapel at 5-7 PM on Wednesday evening. Funeral Services will be held June 17, 2021 at 10 AM at the Chapel of Kinner & Stevens. Interment will follow services at Pine Grove Cemetery with Rev. John Bradley officiating. Those honored to serve as Pallbearers are J.C. Campbell, Larry Campbell, Todd Curry, Justin Summerall, and Preston Davidson. The Jena Honor Guard will proudly honor this Veteran's service to his country.
