Landon Garrett Smith was born on February 03, 2002 and passed away on April 06, 2026 in New Orleans, LA. He was 24 years old. He was the beloved husband of Jade Smith and the cherished son of Frank Smith and Patricia Smith. Landon was an immense joy in the lives of all who had the privilege of knowing him. His life was marked by love, laughter, and a quiet strength that made everyone around him feel safe and seen.
While enrolled in Winnfield Senior High School, Landon became passionate about welding and working on the pipeline. He was a hard worker with the determination to learn and to advance in his career. Outside of work, he found joy in traveling, spending time with Jade, and being a part of Bike Life.
After nine years of dating, Landon married Jade Spiers Smith on May 22, 2025 in Jamaica, marking the beginning of a new chapter filled with love and shared dreams. Landon was Jade's best friend, her high school sweetheart, and the love of her life. Together Landon and Jade enjoyed creating memories and exploring New Orleans with Archie, their Golden Doodle.
Landon was preceded in death by his maternal grandparent Patricia Collins, his paternal grandparents Franklin and Diana Smith, his cousins Josh Feirn and Levi Cummings and his close friend Stylen Wise.
Landon is survived by his wife Jade Smith, his parents, Frank Smith and Patricia Smith, his maternal grandparents Robert Feirn (Sandy) and Billy and Laurie Gorham, his brothers Zachary Gorham, Jeffery Nugent, Brandon Smith, Franklin Mitchell Smith, Jesse Smith, and Tucker Smith, his sisters Summer Moreno and Jessica Smith, and his uncle Mike (Hope) Feirn.
Landon is also survived by his mother-in-law Aimee Shea (Colorado), Jamie Mercer-Dews, sister-in-laws Alexis McLarty and Stoney Peters (Jacob) and nieces Emersyn Moreno and Anna Collins Boyd and nephew Conner Reid Boyd.
Though Landon's time on earth was far too short, his life was filled with love, purpose, and meaning. Landon will be deeply missed and forever remembered by a host of family and friends.
A memorial service will be held at 2:00 pm in the chapel at Southern Funeral Home on
Saturday, April 11, 2026. The family will receive friends from 11:00 am until the time of
service.
