Mrs. LaJuana Stroud Ferguson, age 92 of Atlanta, Louisiana passed away on Thursday, December 30, 2021. She was born to the union of Walter and Victoria Dickson Stroud on Monday, February 25, 1929 in Wheeling, Louisiana. Mrs. Stroud spent her working career in multiple positions including Librarian, Book keeper, and Beautician. She retired from the Winn Parish Library/Atlanta Branch. She was a devoted member of Atlanta Methodist Church.

She is preceded in death by her parents Walter and Victoria Dickson Stroud; husband Lelan W. Ferguson; three brothers and two sisters.

Those left to cherish her memory include her daughters Diane Broussard, Mechanicsville, VA, Ileene Pogue, and Donna Barton; eight grandchildren, and 22 great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends on Staurday, January 1, 2022, at Southern Funeral Home from 5PM until 8PM.

Funeral services will be held at Atlanta United Methodist Church on Sunday, January 2, 2022, at 2PM with Rev. Kevin Collier officiating. Interment will follow in Atlanta Cemetery, in Atlanta.

Serving the family as pallbearers will be Jason Broussard, Michael Wallace, Brad Barton, Randy Barton, Justin Golemon, Brad Freeman, and Greg Hasley.
