Mr. Kurt LaDale Shelton, age 41 of Tannehill, Louisiana passed away from a lengthy illness at his family home Sunday December 11, 2022.

Born on April 1, 1981 in Urania, Louisiana, he was a member of Zion Hill Baptist Church, Tannehill, Louisiana. Kurt worked several years as a satellite technician and retired as a truck driver. He made many friends with his deer processing business and was known for his specialty meats including boudin. Kurt loved music from an early age and appreciated all genres. He had a never ending love for the Tennessee Titans football, the San Antonio Spurs basketball and was known to support his teams win or lose. He also looked forward to WWE wrestling. Kurt always had an "awe ten" for everyone.

Kurt was preceded in death by his daddy, Alon Johnson; grandparents Mrs. Esther McFarland, Mr. Jack McFarland and Dude and Hazel Shelton.

Those left to cherish his memory include his son Alon Deen Shelton, mother Myra McFarland, father Roger Shelton; brothers Trampas Shelton and Chris Bennett, sister Brittany Shelton; numerous nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles, Alon's mother Dawn Bilyeu and many friends.

Funeral services are scheduled for Tuesday December 13, 2022 at 2:00PM at Zion Hill Baptist Church, Tannehill, LA, with Rev. Joel Hines and Rev. Russell Jones officiating. Visitation is scheduled for 10:00AM until time of services at the church with graveside service to follow at the church cemetery under the direction of Southern Funeral Home of Winnfield..

Serving the family as pallbearers will be Jack McFarland, Jackson McFarland, Trampus Shelton, Loran Shelton, Payton Shelton, and Willie Peters.
