Kenneth ("Ken") Michael Spurlock, age 73, of Kingwood, Texas, passed away on Monday, February 13, 2023, at HCA Hospital in Kingwood, Texas.
Born on December 25, 1949, in Memphis, Tennessee, he is the son of the late Samuel Victor Spurlock and Juanita Crowder Spurlock.

After graduation from Westchester High School in Houston, Texas, in 1968, Ken attended Texas Tech University for a year. He then served his country in the United States Army from 1970 to 1973.

Those left to cherish his memory are his mother, Juanita Crowder Spurlock; his son, Scott, Scott's wife Shari, and grandson, Shane; Ken's sister, Brenda Spurlock Edmonds, his niece, Callie, her husband Ian, and their son Owen, along with countless cousins and friends, whom he will deeply miss.

May Ken rest in peace as we love him and are grateful for the impact he has had in our lives. We look forward to being reunited in eternity one day.

Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m. Monday, February 27, 2023 at the Bethel Church in Downsville, Louisiana.  Interment will follow in the Mt. Nebo Cemetery under the direction of Southern Funeral Home of Winnfield.  Friends may visit with the family at the church on Monday from 2:00 p.m. until time of services.
