Kenneth Wayne
Jordan
Dec 19, 1946 — Apr 15, 2025
Winnfield
Kenneth Wayne Jordan, age 78, of Winnfield, Louisiana, passed from this life on Tuesday, April 15, 2025, in Winnfield. He was born on Thursday, December 19, 1946, in Winnfield, Louisiana, where he remained a lifelong resident, steadfast in his love for family, faith, and the land he called home.
A proud veteran, Kenneth served six honorable years in the Louisiana National Guard. He devoted over 50 years to the timber industry, where he was respected for his work ethic and quiet integrity until his retirement.
Kenneth was a faithful and long-time member of Zion Hill Baptist Church, where he found joy and purpose in teaching Sunday School and lifting his voice in song. Music was part of his soul—whether in church pews or on his porch—and he was rarely far from a tune or a smile.
He loved the outdoors and found peace in hunting, fishing, and tending his garden. A masterful cook and a born storyteller, Kenneth delighted in sharing meals, laughter, and good-natured jokes with his loved ones. He was a kind-hearted and loving father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, remembered most for the playful spirit with which he teased and the deep affection he held for his family—especially his grandchildren, who brought him endless joy.
Kenneth was preceded in death by his parents, Clarence Edward Jordan and Willadeen Fox Jordan.
Left to cherish his memory are his devoted wife of 57 years, Joy Jordan; his children, Noelle Jordan, Joel Heath Jordan, and Joshua Shane Jordan; his grandchildren, special grandson, Joseph Terry, Nicholas Walker, Devan Businelle, and Taylor Grace Jordan; and great-grandchildren, Rafe Leevi Terry, Gracelinn Walker, Brielle Walker, Mallory Walker, and Brayden Kayne Walker. He is also survived by his sister, Ronda Kay Richards and her husband Roger, along with a host of extended family and friends who will dearly miss his generous heart and steady presence.
Serving as pallbearers are Stacey Harper, Dante Fox, Nicholas Walker, Joseph Terry, Devan Businelle, and Ben Fox. Honorary pallbearers include Michael "Mike" Jordan, Colvin Garrett, Terry Taylor, Todd Shirley, Russell Evans, Lyman Hall, and Rafe Terry.
