Kelly (Mccaskill)
Maxwell
Feb 27, 1959 — Mar 9, 2025
Jonesboro
Kelly Rene (McCaskill) Maxwell, age 66 of Jonesboro was called home on Sunday, March 9, 2025. Kelly was born on February 27, 1959 in Lake Providence, Louisiana. She enjoyed hobbies such as fishing for bream, blue gill, or anything that would bite her worm. She always enjoyed taking in a sunrise or a sunset and spending any time she possibly could on the beach. Kelly loved to dance, watch her favorite shows Gunsmoke and Laramie, and to keep her hands occupied with arts, crafts and quilting. She loved coffee, sweets, and would eat so much fruit that she'd often jokingly say "one day I might just turn into an orange." Kelly loved her family dearly. She loved spending quality time with her children and grandchildren. She became an instant sports fan any time one of her grandchildren were playing sports. Whether she knew the rules or not, she enjoyed watching them play. Kelly was "Everyone's Mom" and she took great pride in this title. She raised her children and countless others through the years and lived to serve others, often without regard for her own needs. She made sure everyone had plenty of love and tummies full of gumbo. Kelly was going to make sure you left her home full and loved.
Those left to cherish her memory are her children, Jason Huckaby, Richard Maxwell II and Blythe, Geoffrey Maxwell and Quita, Tyler Maxwell and Megan, Caroline Maxwell and Sarah, Savannah Grove and Andrew; grandchildren, Hunter, Camren, Colin, Machen, Geoffrey, Jr., Kiara, Kyleigh, Noah, Kaleb, Mia, Chloe', Zoe; mother, Juanita Ann (Long) King and Bill; siblings, Keith McCaskill and Teresa, Kenneth McCaskill and Jacquitta, Pam Thomas and Dale; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her father, Dan Hughes; and aunt, Mary Long.
