He had a way of making memories wherever he went, and those who shared his life will forever treasure the time they had with him.

Memorial services celebrating the life of Keith "Flywheel" Dewayne Griffith, 44, of Georgetown, Louisiana, will be held with visitation at Southern Funeral Homes on Saturday, August 22, 2026, beginning at 3:00 PM. A Celebration of Life will be held at 4:00 PM. Family and friends are invited to come together to remember and celebrate Keith's life.

Keith passed away on August 11, 2026, leaving behind a life filled with hard work, adventure, laughter, and, most of all, love for his family. He was born May 25, 1982, in Pineville, Louisiana, and spent his life making an impression on the many people who had the privilege of knowing him.

Flywheel was a dedicated ironworker, rigger, and boilermaker in the industrial construction industry. He took great pride in his work and loved what he did. Had he not become disabled, there is no doubt that Keith would still have been doing the work he enjoyed so much. His strong work ethic, determination, and dedication to his craft were a reflection of the man he was.

In 2004, at the age of 22, Keith met his soulmate, Cassie, who he has spent the last 22 years with. Together, they hit the road, working shutdowns across the country and building a life filled with memories along the way. When he was home and had time away from work, Keith enjoyed hunting and fishing. But as much as he loved his work and the outdoors, nothing compared to the love he had for his family. His children and grandchildren were his greatest source of pride and joy.

Keith's infectious laughter, generous heart, and vibrant spirit will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him. He had a way of making memories wherever he went, and those who shared his life will forever treasure the time they had with him.

Keith is survived by his devoted wife of 20 years, Cassie Sweat Griffith; his four children, Chaz, Keith King, Jorja, and Kaage; and his grandchildren, Navy and Lennon, who brought him immeasurable joy. He is also survived by his father, Bobby White; his brother, Timothy "T-Bud" Shaffer; his sister, Bobbie Griffith; his in-laws, Johnny and Kim Sweat; his grandparents, Beth Foster and Harvel Sweat, his Furbabies, Oscar, Bu-cee, LeLe, and Toot, and numerous nieces, nephews other family members, and friends. He was preceded in death by his mother, Vikki Griffith, paternal grandmother, Mary Vollm, and maternal grandmother, Sherry Ann Spencer.

Though Flywheel's time with his family was far too short, the love he gave and the memories he created will remain with those who knew him. His family and friends will remember the hardworking man who loved his job, the outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting and fishing, and, above all, the husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend whose greatest joy was the people he loved.

Keith will be deeply missed, but the laughter, love, and memories he leaves behind will continue to live on in the hearts of those who loved him.
