Kathryn Floyd of Jena, La passed from this life on Wednesday, June 29, 2022 a LaSalle General Hospital, due to the lung disease Pulmonary Fibrosis. She was the youngest child born to the union of Roy and Lillian (Humphries) Moseley on October 3, 1950.
She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, Roy Lawrence Moseley and R. L. Moseley and one sister Barbara Back.
Kathryn graduated in the first LPN class from Huey P. Long Vo-Tech School and worked in that field for several years. Then she was employed a number of years for the State of Louisiana Motor Vehicle Division and State Police Division.
She enjoyed reading, the devotional books "Jesus is Calling" and Max Lucada's "Grace for the Moment" being her favorites. She also enjoyed baking chocolate pies, coconut pies and tea cakes and sharing them with others. Planting spring flowers was a big enjoyment for her as well.
Family gatherings were favorite moments, and the highlights were spending time doing things with the grandchildren. She loved to record the funny things they said as toddlers and reading them back to them as they got older.
Kathryn leaves behind to love and miss her two sons, Brent Floyd & wife Cory, and Stacey Floyd & wife Rachel, four grandchildren Braden Floyd, Conley Floyd, Savannah Floyd, and Samuel Floyd, two sisters Elizabeth (Moseley) Cupples of Bossier City, La. and Laverne (Moseley) Paul of Jena, a brother -in- law Willie Matt "Bullet" Paul of Jena.
Visitation will be held in the Chapel of Kinner & Stevens Funeral Home on Friday, July 1, 2022 beginning at 5:00PM until 8:00PM.
Funeral Services will be in the Chapel of Kinner & Stevens on Saturday July 2, 2022 at 10:00AM with Rev. Joey and Sister Sylvia Paul officiating. She will be laid to rest in the Belah Cemetery following the service under the direction of Kinner & Stevens Funeral Home.
Honored to serve the family as pallbearers will be Joe Harvey Paul, Greg Paul, Conley Floyd, Braden Floyd, Samuel Floyd and Patrick Simmons.
