Mrs. Kathleen Ann Norwood, age 79 of Verda, Louisiana passed away on Saturday, December 10, 2022.

Born Sunday, October 24, 1943 in Chicago, Illinois, she was preceded in death by her parents, Genieve L. Walter McKenna and James T. McKenna; sister, Joan Sundt; husband of 32 years, Chuck Norwood; and sons, Alan Dick and John Norwood.

Mrs. Norwood was a member of Victory Church in Montgomery, LA. She loved working in her flower beds and cooking. Mrs. Norwood always wanted to help those in need. She loved Jesus with all her heart. She also loved and took great pride in family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren, as well as her fur baby, Max.

Those left to cherish her memory include her daughter, Laura Dick; sons, James Norwood (Tonya) and Michael Norwood (Sandy); grandchildren, P. J. Young (James), Sabrina Dick (Bobby), Ethan Dick (Janeha), Dustin Sharp (Ashley), Nick Norwood, Tyler Harrell, Justin Harrell, Wesley Holman, Brittany Cauley (Michael), Bailey Norwood, and Kellie Norwood and 18 great grandchildren.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, December 13, 2022, at Verda Baptist Church, from 1:00 PM until time of services.

Funeral services will be held at 4:00 PM on Tuesday, December 13, 2022, under the direction of Southern Funeral Home of Winnfield, at Verda Baptist Church with Rev. Frank Peacock officiating.
