Mrs. Judy Marie Hickman Oglesby, age 64 of Atlanta, Louisiana passed away on Saturday, December 10, 2022.

Mrs. Oglesby was a member of Verda Baptist Church where she served as pianist. She enjoyed her flower garden and will be remembered as a loving and caring wife, mother, grandmother and mawmaw and nana to many.

Born Tuesday, July 22, 1958 in Alexandria, Louisiana, she was preceded in death by her parents, James Hickman and Joy Antee Hickman; grandson, her heart and "angel baby," Landon Lane McConathy, brother Owen Hickman, and a special cousin Rhonda Vercher.

Those left to cherish her memory include her husband, Don Oglesby, Jr.;  children, Haylee Smith (Jake), Mark McConathy, Kayla Lasyone (James), Hannah Carter (Greg) and Ethan Oglesby (Ashley); grandchildren, Ann Marie, Gracie, Izzy, Josie, Ellie Mae, Logan, Cara, Hope, Gloria, Gavin, Carter, Maci, Paisley, Ella, Kaycie, Brianna, Karlie, J. C. Maycie and soon to be Emma; special daughters, Miranda McConathy and Danielle Holmes; special cousins, Jerrod Holmes, David and Darrell Thompson, Pete, Sandy, Joan, Johnny, Rita, Joyce Ann and Randell.

The family will receive friends at the church on Wednesday from 5:00 PM until 9:00 PM and again on Thursday from 10:00 AM until time of services.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Thursday, December 15, 2022 at Verda Baptist Church with Rev. Frank Peacock officiating. Interment will follow in Mt. Zion Cemetery in Montgomery under the direction of Southern Funeral Home, Winnfield.

Serving the family as pallbearers will be James Freeman, Stan Jackson, Todd Perkins , Jeremy Mott, Bo Hickman and Russell Rachal. Honorary pallbearers will be Ethan Oglesby, Mark McConathy, Jake Smith, Jarrod Holmes, James Lasyone and Greg Carter.
