Judy Harris went to be with the Lord on December 1, 2024. Born in Winnfield, LA on November 23, 1941, to Clifford and Avis Melton, Judy lived a life full of love and dedication to her family and faith. She is survived by her two brothers, Ronnie Melton and Mike Milton of Winnfield, LA, and her two children, Renee Lynn of Ft. Worth, TX, and Mark Keyes of Knoxville, TN. Judy was a proud grandmother to seven grandsons and four great-grandchildren, leaving behind a legacy of faith and family.

Judy was married to Roy Keyes of Atlanta, LA, until his passing in June 1996, and later to Sam Harris of Goldonna, LA, until his passing in September 2024. She cherished her family, often speaking fondly of her childhood in Winnfield and her love for local history. Judy enjoyed traveling and attending high school football games.

Judy spent much of her adult life in Ruston, LA, where she worked at the Register of Voters office at the Lincoln Parish Court House, a job she loved for the interaction it provided with the community. She was a member of the First Baptist Church before moving to Goldonna in 2006.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, December 7, 2024, at Southern Funeral Home from 10:00 AM until 11:00 AM. Funeral services will follow at 11:00 AM with Mark Keyes officiating.
