Mrs. Juanita Peel, age 98, of Jonesboro, LA, passed away peacefully on August 14, 2026. Born on August 28, 1927, she lived a full and devoted life, centered on her faith, family, and home.
Juanita was known throughout her family and community for her delicious German chocolate cake, a sweet tradition that brought joy to countless gatherings. As a longtime faithful member of Beech Springs Baptist Church, her faith guided her steps throughout her life.
Juanita was preceded in death by her husband of 72 years, Winfred Peel; her parents, William and Louise Dick; sister, Sybil Oxford; and brother, Charles Dick.
She leaves behind daughter Donna and son-in-law Mike Ingles; grandsons, Justin Hall, Jake and wife Makaehan Ingles; great-grandsons, Malachi Hall and Colt Ingles.
A graveside service honoring her life will be held on Tuesday, August 18, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. at Beech Springs Cemetery located at 3942 Beech Springs Rd, Quitman, LA 71268. Johnny Peel and Danny Peel conduct the service.
Serving as pallbearers will be Mike Ingles, Jake Ingles, Malachi Hall, Bo Watson, Donny Horton and Johnny Horton.
Her hands were always busy, her heart was always open, and her memory will be forever a blessing to those who knew and loved her.
