Mrs. Alice Joyce Henderson, age 97 of Winnfield, Louisiana passed away on Tuesday, August 16, 2022.

Born Saturday, May 23, 1925 in Willisville, Arkansas, she was preceded in death by her parents, Salley Shepard Norred and Mack Norred; husband, Jack Henderson; son, Wynn I. Woodard; grandson, Andrew Woodard; and eight siblings.

Mrs. Henderson was a long-time member of Laurel Heights Baptist Church, as well as a member of the VFW Auxiliary in Alexandria, LA. She enjoyed volunteering at the Food Pantry.

Those left to cherish her memory include her daughter, Lynda Joyce Stevens and husband J, of Pineville, LA; daughter-in-law, Veronica Woodard, of McAllen, TX; seven grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, August 20, 2022, at Southern Funeral Home, from 11:00 AM until time of services.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM on Saturday, August 20, 2022 at Southern Funeral Home with Dr. Alfred Stevens officiating. Interment will follow in the Garden of Memories.

Serving the family as pallbearers will be Michael Branch, Johnny Lovell, Chris Woodard, Jack Stevens, Ryan Stevens, and J Stevens.

Memorials may be made to Laurel Heights Baptist Church or St. Judes Childrens Hospital.
