Joyce Harlan Gorham, age 82 of Joyce, La, was granted her angle wings, Tuesday, May 27, 2025. Joyce
left behind a legacy of compassion, strength, and unwavering love.

Joyce was born, November 23,1942 in Shreveport, La. She was the daughter of the late Jim Harlan and
late Ida Wentworth Harlan. She was also preceded in death by her late husband, jerry Gorham Sr., and
daughter Mandy Gorham Barnes.

For years, Joyce served as a beloved lunch lady in the local school system, where she became a familiar
face and comforting presence to generations of students. Her dedication and joyful spirit led an
enduring impact on countless lives. Her strength in times of hardship, her joy in life's simple blessings,
and her boundless love will remain a guiding life to those who knew her.

The dear ones she leaves to treasure her memory, Her son Jody Gorham, Daughter- Glenda Barlow, her
precious grandchildren, Dustin (Brittney), Casey (Byron), and Cody as well ad her beautiful great
grandchildren, Waylon, River, Sunday, Wyatt, and Presley.

Her love remains etched in our hearts forever, and her spirit will continue to shine in all the lives she
touched.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday in the Chapel of Southern Funeral Home with Reverend Lamar Carpenter officiating.  Interment will follow in the Old Union Cemetery under the direction of Southern Funeral Home of Winnfield.

Friends may visit with the family in the funeral home on Saturday from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. and also on Sunday from 1 p.m. until time of services.

Pallbearers will be: Jody Gorham, Ray Gorham, Bo Juerk, Carl Admire, Jed Brashear, Layton Sepulvado,
Byron Hudgins, Tommy Cotton, and Dustin Gorham.
