Mrs. Joyce LaVelle Powell Finlay, age 90 of Jena, Louisiana passed away on Friday, July 23, 2021.

Born Thursday, March 19, 1931, she was preceded in death by her parents, Fred Fulton Powell, Sr. and Mettie Cornwell Powell; husband, Charlie Finlay; siblings, Bonnie Mae Knight, Billy Powell, Fred Powell, Jr., Douglas Powell and Jack Powell.

Those left to cherish her memory include her sons, Rusty Finlay, Gene Finlay and Scott Finlay; foster daughter, Jennifer Grimm; four grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

Graveside funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM on Sunday, July 25, 2021 at Pleasant Hill Cemetery with Rev. Stephen Laughlin officiating. Interment will follow under the direction of Kinner & Stevens Funeral Home of Jena.

Serving the family as pallbearers will be Jeffrey Bonneau, Charlie Finlay, Doug Finlay, Jeff Bonneau, Dayton Bonneau and Gus Finlay.
