Joy Reed, born on February 4, 1964, in West Monroe, Louisiana, left this world suddenly on March 12, 2024, in Winnfield, Louisiana. She spent 15 years working in receiving at Walmart in Many, Louisiana, and served as a Service Representative for SERCO during her time in Lawton, Oklahoma.

An avid reader and a lover of country western music, Joy lived a life marked by her passions. For the last six years, she dedicated herself to caring for her mother, Margaret Price Buford. Joy was preceded in death by her father, Johnny B. Buford, her brother Jay Buford, and her nephew Shawn Buford.

Joy is survived by her mother, Margaret Price Buford, her daughter Jamie Hopper, her son Eric Hunter Rentz, and her granddaughter Josie Hopper. She is also survived by her brother John Gregory (Annette), sister-in-law Tina Buford, several nieces and nephews, and numerous friends who cherished her warm spirit.

In accordance with her wishes, Joy will be cremated, and at this time, no services are planned. May her memory live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.
