Mr. Joshua Erik Tolbert, age 44, of Sikes, Louisiana, passed away on Friday, December 27, 2024. He was born on Tuesday, June 3, 1980, in Alexandria, Louisiana, and spent his life in service to his family, friends, and community in Sikes, Louisiana.

A devoted husband, loving father, and steadfast friend, Joshua worked as a logger for JKM Logging, embodying a tireless work ethic and a heart always ready to lend a helping hand. Whether he was providing for his family, cheering on his children at ballgames and rodeos, or sharing his time and talents, his love and dedication shone through in all he did.

Joshua was preceded in death by his mother, Jeannie Parker Tolbert Burrows; his daughter, Rachel Barragan; his grandparents, Elvie B. and Gertrude Parker, and Floyd and Betty Tolbert; and his niece, Katherine Tolbert

Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Brandi Townsend Tolbert; his children, Alyssa Barragan, Jaycee Berry, Jeannie Tolbert, and Lexie Tolbert; his father, Vernon Tolbert; his siblings, Tammy Vines (Shawn), Trevor Tolbert (Rebecca), Zach Parker (Allison), and Craig Parker; his in-laws, Aaron and Karen Townsend; and numerous beloved nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends.

Serving as pallbearers will be Travis Wroten, Nick Holmes, James Carpenter, Otha Watkins, Eddie Willis, Kenneth Womack, Terry Vines, and Aaron Townsend.

Friends are invited to pay their respects during public visitation at Southern Funeral Home on Tuesday, December 31, 2024, from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM, and again on Wednesday, January 1, 2025, from 9:00 AM until the time of the funeral service at 11:00 AM. Services will be held in the chapel of Southern Funeral Home, followed by interment at Old Union Cemetery.
