Mr. Joseph Edwin Kelley, 74, of Winnfield, Louisiana, passed away on Sunday, October 22, 2023. He was born on Saturday, October 30, 1948, and his passing marks the end of a life well-lived and cherished by those who knew him.
Joseph was born in Winnfield, Louisiana, and spent the his first 20 years and his last 20 years in this tight-knit community. He spent the majority of the years in between in Alaska. He was the beloved son of the late Edwin Matthew Kelley and Bertice Annie Martin Kelley, who predeceased him.
Mr. Kelley was an active member, deacon, and Sunday School Teacher at First Baptist Church of Winnfield. He was currently employed with the Winn Parish Sheriff's Office. Joseph enjoyed riding his bicycle and woodworking, and will be remembered as a devoted husband, father, and "DaDa" to his beloved grandchildren.
He is survived by a loving family, including his devoted wife of 50 years, Patricia Gail Kelley, and their daughter, Alaina Joy Kelley. Joseph was also a doting grandfather to Joseph Brant Kelley and Brylie Lain.
Visitation for Mr. Joseph Edwin Kelley will be held at the First Baptist Church in Winnfield, Louisiana, on Tuesday, October 24, 2023, from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM, providing an opportunity for friends and family to pay their respects.
The funeral service, officiated by Dr. Jerry Pipes and Rev. Danny Keyes, will also take place at the First Baptist Church on Wednesday, October 25, 2023, at 11:00 AM.
Following the service, Joseph will be laid to rest at the Couley Double Church Cemetery. Pallbearers for the service will be Dr. Alfred Stevens, Nick Page, Wayne Smith, Glenn Austin, Danny Keyes, and Donald Kelley. Honorary pallbearers will be members of "Joe's Sunday School Class", Cranford Jordan, Robin Cummings, Delane Adams, Paul Harlan, Michael Durbin, Charles Carroll, Randy Cole, Paul Collins, Lamar Tarver, Kevin Hatcher, Wayne Bates and Mark Maxwell.

In his 74 years of life, Joseph Edwin Kelley touched the hearts of many and will be dearly missed. His legacy lives on through his family and the memories he created throughout his lifetime.
