Mr. Johnny Earl Rowell, age 71 of Goldonna, Louisiana passed away on Thursday, September 29, 2022 in his residence surrounded by his loving family.He was born Wednesday, December 20, 1950 in Winnfield, Louisiana, to the union of Huey Dale and Merna Vae Norman Rowell.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Huey Dale and Merna Vae Norman Rowell; daughter, Kelly Sharee Nevells; siblings, Norma Jean Wendt, Lavora Ann Rowell, Rebecca Joyce Garner, Wanda Gale Morgan, Vera Sue Baxter, Billy David Rowell, Jimmy Dale Rowell, Terry Ray Rowell, Cynthia Lynn Bedgood; and mother-in-law, Inez Smith.

Mr. Johnny spent his working career as a truck driver, which he enjoyed very much. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, reading, and spending quality time with his wonderful family. he proudly served his country in the Army during the Vietnam Era.

Those left to cherish his memory include his wife of 49 years Betty Nugent Rowell; children, Sonia Joslin (Michael), and Christal Rowell; grandchildren, Duke Ross (Chelsea), Hunter Ross, and Hannah Ross; great grand children, Austin, Kellci, Christopher, McKenna, Emberly, and Lathan.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, October 1, 2022 at Goldonna Assembly of God Church in Goldonna, Louisiana from 10:00AM until 3:00PM, time of services in the church with Rev. Tim Harris officiating.

Interment will follow in Goldonna Cemetery in Goldonna, Louisiana under the direction of Southern Funeral Homes, Winnfield.

Serving the family as pallbearers will be Duke Ross, Hunter Ross, Glen Williams, Kyle Rowell, Bruce Bedgood, and Jordy Bedgood. Honorary pallbearers will be Austin Ross and Kellci Ross.
