Johnny Lafayette Keyes was born on September 17, 1955, in Winn Parish, Louisiana, to Florella Evans Keyes and Archie Lafayette Keyes. He peacefully walked into the arms of Jesus on March 30, 2026. Johnny was a longtime resident of Winnfield before moving to Natchitoches to be near his mother. He retired as an electrician from Hunt Forest Products Plywood Plant, where he dedicated 32 years of service.

Johnny is predeceased by the love of his life, his wife Nancy O'Neal Keyes, and his parents. He is survived by one aunt, Ollie Evans Baker of Groves, Texas, and many loving cousins.

A family viewing will be held on Thursday, April 9, 2026, from 9:00 to 9:30 am at Southern Funeral Home in Winnfield, Louisiana. A graveside service will follow at 11:00 am at Bethel Cemetery in Colfax, Louisiana.
