Johnnie Louise Frazier Porter was born on August 25, 1934, andpassed away September 23, 2023. She was born to Elmo and Louise Frazier in El Dorado, Arkansas, where she cultivated the love of dance. She was a 1952 graduate of Winnfield Senior High School where she was a majorette, drum major, and an all-state basketball player. It was here, at Winnfield Senior High School, that she met and married her high school sweetheart Gene Stratton Porter. They were married in March 1957 and were married for 57 years. In 1956, she graduated fromNorthwestern State University with a degree in Elementary Education and began her teaching career in Lake Charles, Louisiana. Johnnie was an educator for over 25 years where her love for children and love for watching them learn grew more each year. Upon retirement, she rejoined her family business,Frazier Machine and Supply Company for 10 years alongside her husband. She was a member of First Baptist Church and numerous civic organizations. Her favorite pastime was playing bridge and completing the daily crossword puzzle in The Town Talk. She was a charter member of the bridge club that began in 1963 with a group of ladies she loved dearly.

Johnnie is survived by three daughters Lou Harlan (Paul), Pam Frazier (Danny), Karla Davidson (Michael); five granddaughters Lindsay Hilton (Jeremy), Jeananne Montgomery (Elliot), Stratton Etheridge (Ryan), Danna Kurrus (Andrew), and Josie Davidson; and seven great grandchildren Porter, Hampton, and Sutton Hilton; Patrick, Wyatt, and Caleb Montgomery; and Palmer Kate Etheridge.

Johnnie was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, and her brothers Elmo Frazier Jr., and Joseph Michael Frazier.

A private graveside service will be held at Garden of Memories.
