Mr. John Melvin Mockosher, age 68, of Dodson, Louisiana, passed away Monday, January 26, 2026, in Winnfield, Louisiana.

Born December 9, 1957, in Pineville, Louisiana, he was a devoted father and grandfather who cherished time with his family. John was a hardworking man, having dedicated many years to James Drilling, and he found joy in simple pleasures-sharing a good drink, a smoke, and laughter with loved ones.

He was preceded in death by his father, Manuel Mockosher; mother, Jimmie Dean Thornton Norman; wife, Nickie Mockosher; twin brother, James Mockosher; brother, Jr. Mockosher; and step-father, Elmore Norman.

John is survived by his sons, Daniel Mockosher (Amanda); Jason Mockosher (Jennifer); and Man-Man Mockosher; his grandchildren, Victoria, Nickalas, Cyrus, Dalton, Milo, Peyton and Bethany; his sisters, Darlene Thomason and Jeanette Yale; and numerous nieces and nephews.
