John "J.G." Breithaupt, 75 of Jonesville, Louisiana entered in to Heaven on Thursday, November 21, 2024, at LaSalle General Hospital in Jena, Louisiana.
Born Monday, October 10, 1949 in Jena, Louisiana, he was the son of the late Lee Breithaupt and the late Vera Alexander Breithaupt. He was husband to Shirley Edwards Breithaupt for 52 glorious years. He spent his working years in the oil field as a rig manager. He was a Mason and served in both the Michael Dempsey and Carrietta Lodges. Mr. John was a quiet and gentle man who loved his family and grandchildren. He had a kind heart and was always willing to help whomever was in need, the heart of a true Christian. He enjoyed hunting and fishing. Mr. John had several little dogs who were always in his lap protecting him from family and friends. If you had opportunity to meet Mr. John, you certainly know how much of a miss he will be to both his family and community.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Lee and Vera Alexander Breithaupt; nephew, Eric Breithaupt; sister in laws, Julia Breithaupt and Lonell Breithaupt; and son in law, George Haley.
Those left to love and cherish his memory are his wife, Shirley Edwards Breithaupt of 52 years; children, Kim Haley, Chris Breithaupt; grand-daughters, Emily Breithaupt and Sonya Haley; great- grand-daughter, Landry York; sisters, Mildred McGuffee and husband Wayne of Jena, Diane Cader and husband James of Rhinehart; brothers, David Breithaupt and son Davy of Rhinehart, Lee Breithaupt of Alexandria; and fur baby, "Lilly".
The family will receive friends at Oak Grove Baptist Church on Saturday, November 23, 2024 from 9:00AM until 11:00AM.
Funeral Services will be held at the church at 11:00AM Saturday also, with Rev. Johnnie Phillips and Rev. John Bradley officiating. Interment will be in Pine Grove Cemetery, Rhinehart, LA.
Those honored to serve the family as pallbearers are Brent Cader, Brian Cader, Steve Cooks, Tracy Breithaupt, Lawson Little, and Austin Cader. Honorary pallbearers will be Pap Pritchard, Lloyd Breithaupt, Brandon Cader, Shelby Pritchard, Crew of Johnnie Hoffman, and the men of Oak Grove Baptist Church.
