John Leslie Aldy, 57, of West Monroe, Louisiana, passed away on Tuesday, July 7, 2026. John will be remembered as a hardworking man with a larger-than-life personality, a quick wit, and a heart devoted to the people he loved. An unwavering LSU Tigers football fan, he never missed an opportunity to cheer on his beloved Tigers. He also found peace on the water while bass fishing and took great pride in a career that reflected his strong work ethic. For more than 20 years, John traveled throughout the country as a skilled millwright before spending the next 12 years serving as a quality assurance officer for SeaArk Boats.

Though he would rarely admit it, those who knew him best could see the special affection he had for his pet cats. Above all, John's greatest joy came from spending time with his beloved grandchildren, his family, and his many friends. The memories they shared and the love they exchanged will remain a treasured part of their lives forever.

John is survived by his wife, Alleisha (Ashley) Aldy; father, Jerry Aldy; children, Elizabeth Cotton (Matt), Dillon Aldy (Heidi), Justin Aldy (Haley), Chase Stewart, Scarlett Wilkinson (Justin), siblings, Misty Everett (Darryl), Jeanie (Womack) Miles, Jason Womack (Jessie), Dana Godson (Franklin), De'Linda Cockerham (Ross), and Jeremy Aldy; 14 grandchildren; uncle, Buddy Womack; in-laws, Leroy and Judy Ashley; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Terri (Blake) Cloud; infant sister, Mary Ann; paternal grandparents, Buddy and Jean Aldy; and aunt, Patti Womack.

The family will have a private funeral service.

Serving as pallbearers will be Trey Sanders, Ricky Sanders, Ross Cockerham, Will McKnight, Justin Wilkinson, and Casey Blake. Honorary pallbearers will be Dillon Aldy and Justin Aldy.
