Mr. Jimmy Sloan Williams, Sr., age 84, of Campti, Louisiana,
passed away on Wednesday, June 11, 2025. Born Saturday, May
31, 1941, in Natchitoches, Louisiana, he was preceded in death
by his parents, John O'Quinn Williams and Lalla Rookh Reed
Williams; his wife of 40 years and the mother of his children, Myra
Cloud Williams; siblings, John C. Williams and Elaine Williams
Riser.

Those left to cherish his memory include his wife of almost 19
years, Peggy Hardee Williams; children, Jimmy S. Williams, Jr.
(Loretta), Dalton Glen Williams, Myra Jeanette Williams Shows
(Kevin), and Gwendolyn Williams; step-children, Johnny Woods
(Myra), Kim Elliot (Mitchell), and Lana Giddings (Gregg);
grandchildren, Jodie, Collin, Matthew, Josh, Brooke, Taylor,
Kasey, Steven, Emily, Sloan, Chloe, Mya, Kyle, Katy, Kelli,
Dwayne, Aimee, Taylor, Heather, and Steven; along with 24 great-
grandchildren; sister Janie Williams Beal; sister-in-law Claudine
Cloud Riehn; Harry Davis and a host of nieces, nephews and
cousins.

Jimmy was a devoted family man, faithful servant, and
hardworking soul. He passed away peacefully after receiving the
ultimate healing and is now rejoicing in the presence of his
Savior—whole, healed, and reunited with loved ones in Heaven.
He began his career in the oilfield with Placid Oil in 1966 and
worked diligently in the industry until his retirement in 2003.
Known for his strong work ethic and quiet strength, he
approached life with purpose and humility.
A deacon of many years, Jimmy served diligently at Goldonna
Baptist Church and later at Creston Baptist Church, where he
worshipped alongside his children and grandchildren. His
unwavering faith and servant's heart shaped generations and left
a deep and lasting impact on all who knew him.

Jimmy's greatest legacy is the family he so dearly loved and loved
him in return—his children, grandchildren, and great-
grandchildren who carry forward his values of strength, kindness,
and integrity. The foundation he laid through his example will
continue to guide and bless future generations.
Described as "one of a kind, one of the best men I've ever
known," he leaves behind a legacy built on steadfast faith and
quiet leadership. Though hearts ache, there is peace in knowing
he is now whole, at rest, and in the presence of the Savior he
served so faithfully.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, June 14,
2025, at Creston Baptist Church with Rev. Tim Harris and Rev.
Truman Leach officiating. Interment will follow in Evergreen
Cemetery in Goldonna under the direction of Southern Funeral
Home of Winnfield. The family will receive friends at the church on
Friday from 4:30 PM until services on Saturday.
Serving the family as pallbearers will be Josh Williams, Collin
Williams, Steven Shows, Matthew Williams, Kyle Woods, and
Braden Woods. Honorary pallbearers are Mitchell Elliot and Joey
Creamer.

In lieu flowers, the family has requested donations be made to the
Creston Baptist Church Educational Fund, P.O. Box 391, Campti
LA, 71411 or St. Jude Children's Hospital.
