Jim "Jimmy" Earl Wilkinson, Jr. of the Walters Community, Jonesville, Louisiana passed from this life on Tuesday, November 5, 2024, at 62.  He was born in San Angelo, Texas on Friday, November 10, 1961.

Jimmy was a lot of things, kind and gruff, funny and serious, understanding and stubborn. He was forever changing and always learning. He was a master mechanic and infinite tinkerer. Of all the things he was or was not, he was a son, father, brother, uncle, cousin, and friend. He was loved by all and will be missed.

Jimmy was preceded in death by his father, Jim Earl Wilkinson, his sister Becky Franks, and his sister-in-law, Tracie Wilkinson.

Those left to cherish his memory are his mother Cora Crooks Wilkinson, of the Walters Community, Jonesville,  two daughters  Courtney Wilkinson Thibodeaux (Jeremy), of Lafayette, and Jennifer Wilkinson, of  Louisville, Kentucky, one sister Becky Sue Wilkinson, of Monroe, three brothers Tommy Wilkinson (Xiping), of Leander, Texas, Johnny Wilkinson (Karen), of  Jena, and Matt Wilkinson, of Jena, one grandson Collin Thibodeaux, of Lafayette, and a host of nieces, nephews, other family, and friends.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, November 7, 2024, in the Chapel of Kinner & Stevens, from 11:00 AM until 2:00 PM.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM on Thursday, November 7, 2024, in the Chapel of Kinner & Stevens with Rev. Tommy Sanson officiating.

Jimmy will be laid to rest in the Jena Cemetery following the service. Those honored to serve Jimmy and his family as pallbearers are D'Wayne Boyette, Eddie Sanson, Wesley Otwell, Caleb Aymond, Howie King, and Marlon Poole
Honorary Bearers are Joe Wilkinson, Richard Milton, Jakob Norris, and Craig Leavins.
