On December 31, 1972, in the small town of Jonesboro, La, Jesse Wayne Culpepper made his grand entrance into the world, & what an entrance it was. With a contagious smile and a heart as big as the open road, Jesse never met a stranger. His knack for striking up conversations with anyone and everyone was legendary, and his stories were as colorful as his personality.

Following in his dad's footsteps, Jesse's love for classic 18-wheelers began early. It wasn't long before he was behind the wheel, crisscrossing the country and leaving a trail of laughter and camaraderie wherever he went. Jesse wasn't just a truck driver; he was a road warrior, a storyteller, and a friend to all he met along the way.

Jesse's journey on this earth came to a close on May 30, 2025, at the age of 52, Monroe, La. Though he's no longer with us, his spirit continues to cruise the highways of our hearts.

Left to cherish his memory are his loving parents, Dewey Wayne & Deborah "Debbie" Culpepper, who nurtured his adventurous spirit from the beginning. Jesse's legacy lives on in his children, Cody Culpepper, Kristal Culpepper, Victoria Culpepper, & Kayla Culpepper, who each carry a piece of their father's tenacity and joy for life. 3 grandchildren, Holley & Wayne Robert Culpepper, Ezequiel "Zeke" Rodriguez; 2 bonus grandchildren Lee Keller &  Raiden Snyder; one heart-connected nephew Landon Rasbury; his sister, Jenny Rasbury, & brother, Jimmy Culpepper, will forever hold dear the memories of their shared childhood adventures.  He also leaves behind 2 nieces, Ashton Maxfield & Kaitlyn Culpepper; 3 nephews, Brandon Culpepper, Cade & Brett Rasbury; and a host of aunts, uncles, & cousins.

Jesse's passion extended beyond the big rigs; he had a fierce love for Harley Davidson motorcycles. On any given day, you could find him "out on the highway," the wind on his back & freedom at his fingertips, living life on his terms. It seems only fitting that Jesse would leave us while traveling the roadways- a testament to his spirit of adventure & his unwavering zest for life.

We invite family & friends to join us in celebrating Jesse's life on Tuesday, June 3, 2025, from 5-8 pm at Edmonds Funeral Home, located at 228 Allen Ave. in Jonesboro, Louisiana. Let's gather to share stories, laughter, and perhaps a few tears as we remember a man who truly lived life on his own terms.

As we say our goodbyes, we remember Jesse not just as a son, a father, a brother, or a friend, but as a person who taught us the value of a good conversation and the thrill of the open road. Ride on, Jesse, until we meet again.
