Jerry Lynn Erskins, age 83 of Winnfield, LA  entered eternal rest on December 5th 2024.  He was born December 11th 1940 to the union of Waymon Crocket Erskins and Lee Bell Parker Erskins.

Jerry was a devoted father to his girls, Caitlan and Amanda, grandfather to his 5 grandsons Riley, Jase, Layton, Baylor and Beau.  Jerry spent his life working in the timber industry.  He was the proud owner of Erskins Timer Co in Summit, MS until he retired in 2007.  Upon retiring he spent his time chasing grandkids, farming, fishing, cooking and entertaining family and friends.

Lef to cherish his memory are his children, Madonna Erskins Gorriaran (Al), Craig Waymon Erskins, Sara Dianne Erskins, Caitlan Erskins Loftin (Chase) and Amanda Devin Erskins;  his grandchildren Lauren Erskins, Emily Erskins, Dominic Gorriaran, Riley Loftin, Jase Pigott, Layton Loftin, Baylor Loftin and Beau Jenkins; sister Shelby Erskins Tinnerello and a host of extended family.

Pallbearers honoring Jerry Lynn Erskins will be Mervin Parker, Jerry Dubois, Warren Adams, Michael "Chase" Loftin, David Herring and Steven Gardner.

Jerry Lynn Erskins leaves behind a legacy of love and devotion to his family.  He will be deeply missed and forever remembered by those who knew and loved him.

Graveside funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, December 9th, 2024 at Wright Cemetery near Sikes, Louisiana with Rev. Danny Green officiating.

Friends are invited to visit with the family at the Southern Funeral Home in Winnfield on Monday from 9:30 a.m. until 10:30 a.m.
