Ms. Jerrie A. Bland, of Winnfield, Louisiana was received in to Heaven on Wednesday, July 13, 2022 at Christus St. Frances Cabrini Hospital in Alexandria, Louisiana.

Born Monday, December 9, 1946 in Winnfield, Louisiana, she was the daughter of the late Shird and Edith Deese Thompson. She was the wife of the late William "Billy" Bland. Ms. Jerrie was a loving mother and housewife to her beautiful family and had a great love for fishing.

Those left to cherish her memory are her son, William "Bill" Hagan; daughters, Leona Rhymes (Robert), Tresse Roshto (Larry), and Sharon Cannady (Jack); fourteen Grandchildren; twenty one great grandchildren; step children Debra Hayes and Richard Bland; twin sister Carrie Thomasee; sister in law Penny Thompson; and special friend Henry Hennigan.

She is preceded in death by her husband; parents; siblings Mack Thompson (Carolyn), Sherwood Thompson (Glenda), and Wilford "Red" Thompson.

Funeral services will be at 4:00 PM on Saturday at Southern Funeral Home located at 202 E. Lafayette St. Winnfield, Louisiana 71483 with the Rev. John Jones officiating. Interment will be in Cypress Creek Cemetery, Dodson, LA.

The family will receive friends from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM on Saturday, July 16, 2022, at Southern Funeral Home, 202 E. Lafayette St., Winnfield, Louisiana.

Those honored to serve as pallbearers are Jayden Walker, Jacob Collins, John Womack, John Lester, Bobby Blades, and Brandon LaBorde.
