Mrs. Janelle Gilmore Carter, age 81 of Dodson, passed away Tuesday, August 29, 2023 at Autumn Leaves Nursing Home in Winnfield.

Mrs. Carter was born in Dodson and was a graduate of Dodson High School.   She was a loving mother and grandmother.  She enjoyed flower gardening and caring for her family.

She is preceded in death by her parents Fred Gilmore and Eloise Terral Gilmore, husband Charlie Carter and two sisters.

Mrs. Carter leaves to cherish her memory her son Anthony Carter (Clennie) and daughter Cynthia Walker (David), three grandchildren Alexie Stroud (Sterling), Deborah Smith (Chris), and Delancy Walker.   She is also survived by a great grandson Axl Stroud and close friends Elaine Bishop and Judy Cloud.

Graveside memorial service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, Spetember 2, 2023 at Sanders Chapel Cemetery with Mike Carpenter officiating.
