James Saville Poole, age 96 of the Nickel Community, Louisiana was received into Heaven on Sunday, August 20, 2023.

He was born to the union of William Arthur Poole and Beatrice Harper (Richmond) Poole on Wednesday, March 9, 1927, in Nickel, Louisiana.

Mr. Poole was known as "Wild Bill" to many of his family and friends.  He was an avid deer hunter, even hunting last winter at the age of 95. He had many friends and family that would stop by every day at 2:00pm to drink coffee and the telling of many years of hunting and just a life well blessed. He accepted the Lord and was baptized at the age of 75. He loved the Lord and attended Church as long as he was able.

Mr. James was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Oressa Poole of 55 years, six sisters Daisy Cruse, Marie Andrews, Lucille Taylor, Sarah Massey, Elma Williams, and Nina Williams, three brothers W.O. Poole, Woodrow Poole, and Harris Poole, and a grandson Deryl Saville Price.

Those left to love and miss him are, two daughters Dianne Price & husband Deryl of the Nickel Community, Donna Estis & husband Mike of the Nickel Community, two sons Karl Poole & wife Debbie of the Nickel Community, James Poole & wife Sherry of the Belah Community, eleven grandchildren Tammy Poole, Jeffery Price, Jana Ashcraft, Michael Steen, Chance Steen, Jason Poole, Nikki Poole, Chad Hulsey, Jamie Estis, and Andrea Book, sixteen great grandchildren, nine great great grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, other family and friends.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, August 22, 2023, at Kinner & Stevens Funeral Home, from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM and again on Wednesday morning, August 23, 2023, at Aimoch Baptist Church, from 8:00 AM until time of services.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM on Wednesday, August 23, 2023, at Aimoch Baptist Church with Rev. Bobby McGuire and Rev. Brandon Poole officiating. Mr. Poole will be laid to rest in the Aimoch Cemetery, following the service under the directions of Kinner & Stevens Funeral Home.

Those honored to serve Mr. Poole and his family as pallbearers are Jamie Estis, Jeffery Price, Bryce Evans, Brandon Book, Jaden Book and Joseph McClure.

Honorary pallbearers are Ronald Andrews, Larry Andrews, Coolidge Randall, Charles Cruse, Meredith Poole, Barry Rainey, James Evans, Baylor Book and Hunter Estis.
