Melvin was an ASE Certified Master Tech and was known as one of the greatest in the area. He was an avid sportsman who loved hunting and fishing but most of all enjoyed playing music with his family and lifelong friends. If you ever heard music playing on LeBaron Hill, you could bet there would be an entire family gathered to sing, play guitar, and enjoy each other's company.
He also leaves behind his only sister Margie Owens and her husband Ron, daughter Amy Ennis and her husband John, son Corey LeBaron and his wife Kim, and son Casey LeBaron and his wife Gabby, daughter Amanda Normand, son Stanley Henderson and his husband John, daughter Danielle Crider and her husband Clifton, and son Luke Henson and his wife Angela.
Melvin had 19 grandchildren Sean and Ian Callahan, Caleb Ennis, Makenzie and Kandon Gorum, Samantha LeBaron, Paxton and Emma LeBaron, Hannah and Kelsey McElroy, Marisa, Thomas and David Crider, Cheyenne, Dylan, Bryce and Felicity Henson, Alice Nance, and Lizzy German, and 2 great grandchildren, Cheramie and Auden Callahan.
Melvin was also "second dad" to many special nieces and nephews as well as children of his close friends. He considered himself to be proudly adopted by his second family, Hardy and Darlene Sanders, who will always cherish his memory.
Melvin also leaves behind a flock of chickens, about a thousand cats, including Tinka, and his beloved chihuahua, Bella.
