On a rainy evening,  March 17 2022,at his home surrounded by family,  our father, husband, brother, uncle, and friend to everyone, left our world. And took a piece of our hearts with him.

He left behind his bride of 43 years, Lynn (Wallace) Hyatt.

Although he made his home in Louisiana for the past 2 years, his heart was still in Utah.

James Lee Hyatt (Jimmy)  Was born on July 27th 1943 to Daerrel and Elaine Hyatt.

He was a hard working man. Some of his employment was LA young, a long haul truck driver, Hales sand & gravel and Staker & Parsons, where he was the best grader operator in Utah. Working far beyond his retirement years. Also building a house by himself, from the ground up, that he was very proud of, while living in Oregon.

The words his daughters use to describe their dad are quiet, loving, hard working, stubborn, sweet, kind, trusting, tough, generous, independent and patient.

It takes a special man to have a family of girls. He taught his girls how to work on their own vehicles,  But sometimes would say he would do it himself. Their memories include Lake Powell, riding horses, fishing, boating, hunting, and going on the truck(diesel)with him.  But each one tells that the most memories they have of him are 'at the farm'  in Axtell.  Plus his love for Orange sticks and chocolate covered cherries.

He loved his wife, his daughters, his grand kids, and his great grandkids with all his heart and was so proud of all of them. We will miss 'I love you sweetie' at the end of our phone calls.

Survived by his wife Lynn Hyatt. Daughters Debbie (Kevin) Torgersen, Becky Hyatt, Kristine (Jimmy) Plunkett, Corina (Bobby) Whitaker, Kelli (Micah) Senior, Jeanine Zito. 19 Grandchildren  and 23 Great Grandchildren. Brothers Roger Hyatt, Allen Hyatt, LaVal Hyatt, and Earl Hyatt.

Preceeded in death by his parents, one infant daughter Carol Lee Hyatt, and two grandsons Tyson Whitaker and Dalton Castle

His daughter will have a celebration of his life at the Colfax RV Park in Colfax, LA from 5-7pm Friday March 26th 2022.

His family will also have a celebration of his life at the Old Rock Church, 150 S. Main St. Centerfield, Utah, from 5-7pm Sunday April 3rd 2022.
