Mr. James Irvin Hay, age 69 of Winnfield, Louisiana passed away on Saturday, October 15, 2022.

Born Friday, June 26, 1953 in Goldonna, Louisiana, he was preceded in death by his parents, Gertrude Nunn and Felix Irvin Hay; sisters, Gladys Lemmons and Lennie James; brother, W. D. Hay; and niece, Debbie Turner.

James was friendly and outgoing. He loved his nieces and nephews, Bingo and his coffee.

Those left to cherish his memory include his sisters, Winnie Johnson (Frank) and Ruth Cross (Gary); and a host of nieces and nephews.

Graveside services will be held at 2:00 PM on Tuesday, October 18, 2022 at Evergreen Cemetery with Bro. Adam Stanfield officiating, under the direction of Southern Funeral Home of Winnfield.

Serving the family as pallbearers will be Todd Johnson, Chris Johnson, Eric Johnson, Matthew Johnson, Frank Johnson, and Gary Cross. David Walker will serve as honorary pallbearer.

The family wants to extend special thanks to Guardian Hospice and Autumn Leaves Nursing Home for their excellent care and compassion.
