Jackie Carol
Stanfill
Mar 10, 1943 — Feb 11, 2022
Dallas
On the evening of Friday, February 11, 2022 our Heavenly Father welcomed Jackie Carol Canerday Stanfill home. Jackie was born in Calvin, Louisiana to the union of Rev. Arthur Jewel and Clarissa Vivian Belle Allen Canerday on March 10, 1943.
She is preceded in death by her husband of 50 years George Lyndell Stanfill; her parents; brother, Jimmy Earl Canerday and wife Marsha of Hessmer, Louisiana; brother-in-law, Bart Royal and wife Janice of Diboll, Texas.
Those left to love and cherish her memory are her son Jason Lyn Stanfill; daughter, Carol Marie Stanfill Vierling, and husband Eric of Dallas, Texas; grandchildren Trevor Stanfill (wife Charli), Merideth, Madison, and Levi; great-grandchildren Eddie, and Evelyn; nieces and nephews Shane, Jeremy, Christa, and Tara.
Jackie loved to play the piano. From an early age she took lessons and played many recitals, encouraged by her mother. She was the center of many family and friends gatherings when she was younger, as many as would gaher around to listen and sing. Later in life she preferred to play music mostly by ear and had a fondness for hymnals that were meaningful to her. She blessed many churchgoers with her music at Bethlehem Baptist Church, where her father previously pastored, and also First Baptist Church of Calvin, Louisiana. Although she was shy, occassionally the pastor, heavily encouraged by her husband, Lyndell, could convince her to sing and play a solo or duet. Most regarded her effortless ability to play the piano as her greatest gift, however none were most supportive or a more devoted listener, than her husband who would listen for as many hours as she would play.
Thoughout her life Jackie took great comfort in her Christian faith and had comfort knowing that one day she would meet the Lord and be reunited with her mother and husband. Although she spent the last many months with her daughter and son-in-law in Texas, her heart was always in Louisiana where she will be returned to rest.
The family will recieve friends at Bethlehem Baptist Church in Calvin, Louisiana on Tuesday, February 15, 2022 starting at 10:00AM.
A celebration of her life will be held at 11:00AM, also on Tuesday, February 15, 2022.
Interment will follow in the church cemetery under the direction of Southern Funeral Homes of Winnfield. The family request flowers or gifts be sent sent to the funeral home.
