Inell Hughes Wyatt passed away peacefully on Monday, June 1, 2026, at her home on Caney Lake in Weston, Louisiana. Born on November 11, 1932, in Jackson Parish, Louisiana, Inell lived a full life defined by unwavering love, selfless service, and deep devotion to her family. Her greatest joy was found in caring for her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and everyone blessed to know her.

Inell loved with her whole heart. She never hesitated to help when someone was in need and rarely, if ever, said no to a request from family or friends. Nurturing others was simply who she was. She spent countless hours caring for those she loved, always putting their needs before her own. Her kitchen was a place of comfort, where late-night snacks were lovingly prepared, and her home was a place where grandchildren could turn the living room into a playhouse without a second thought. There was never a tear shed on the way to visit Memaw, but many were shed when it was time to leave. Being with her made everyone feel safe, cherished, and at home.

Though her family was her life's work, Inell also faithfully served her church community. For many years, she taught young children's Sunday school classes at Ebenezer Baptist Church, touching countless young lives with her patience, kindness, and gentle spirit. She enjoyed sharing the stories of the Bible with her students and always made sure they understood the meaning of John 3:16. She enjoyed seeing her students as they grew older, with many of them thanking her for being such as sweet, kind Sunday school teacher.

Inell is survived by her children, Saundra Wyatt Nalley, Jeff Wyatt (Michelle), and Theresa Morgan (Jeff); her grandchildren, Trevor Hall (Taylor), Sara Ray (Andrew), Jordan Wyatt (Taylor), Collin Hall, Madison Wyatt (Clayton Harper), Savanna Sanders (Derek), LaRese Armstrong (Richard), Lauren Heidingfelder, and Lannie Heidingsfelder; and her treasured great-grandchildren, each of whom held a special place in her heart. She is also survived by her youngest brother, Roy Hughes (Sandra).

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 63 years, Henry Dale Wyatt; her daughter, Rhonda Gail Heidingsfelder; her son, Gary Dale Wyatt; her father, Jimmie Allen Hughes; her mother, Maybelle Rhymes Hughes; her brothers, Boyd Hughes and Dan Hughes: and her infant sister, Jeanette Hughes.

A graveside service will be held Thursday, June 4, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at Ebenezer Baptist Church Cemetery near Weston, with Bro. Mike Staples officiating. Serving as pallbearers will be Trevor Hall, Jordan Wyatt, Collin Hall, Andrew Ray, Derek Sanders, and Clayton Harper.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be made in honor of Inell Wyatt to the Ebenezer Baptist Church Children's Fund.

While her family deeply grieves her passing, they find comfort in the countless memories she leaves behind and in the love that continues to bind generations together. Her legacy is one of steadfast faith in God, unconditional love, and wholehearted devotion to family. The lessons she taught, the kindness she shared, and the love she gave so freely will live on in the hearts of all who knew her. Though she will be greatly missed, her presence will forever be felt in every family gathering, every cherished memory, and every act of love inspired by her example.
