Mrs. Ida "Fuzzy" Bonnette Gates, age 82 of Goldonna, Louisiana passed away on Monday, March 20, 2023.

Born Sunday, July 28, 1940 in Goldonna, Louisiana, she was preceded in death by her parents, Mollie Bernice Gunter Bonnette and Lloyd Edward Bonnette; son, Rockey Gates; and sister, Elaine Meek.

Mrs. Gates was a CNA and a member of the Antioch Community Church. She loved spending time with her grandchildren and cooking for her family. Mrs. Gates was an avid fisherman.

Those left to cherish her memory include her husband of 63 years, Jimmie R. Gates; sons, Kenneth Ray Gates (Jessica), Daniel D. Gates, and Cody Gates (Toni); grandchildren, Myra, Ashley, Jaxon, Layken, Caysen, and Deacon; great grandchild, Rockelle; siblings, Marlene Taylor, Edna Gates, Eunice Jones, and Marshall Bonnette; and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, March 23, 2023, at Antioch Community Church, from 11:00 AM until time of services.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM on Thursday, March 23, 2023 at Antioch Community Church with Rev. Hayward Hossler and Rev. Elton Gunter officiating. Interment will follow in Old Union Cemetery, in Joyce.
