Mr. Huey Patrick "Red" Blake, age 93 of Winnfield, Louisiana passed away on Sunday, December 25, 2022.

Born Sunday, July 7, 1929 in Goldonna, Louisiana, he was preceded in death by his mother, Willie Myrtle Smith Blake; his father, Nathaniel Marion Blake; his wife, Velma Elizabeth Blake; his granddaughter, Lori Annette Jones; and seven siblings.

Those left to cherish his memory include his son, Harley E. Blake (Eva); his daughters, Judy M. Luther (John P.), Linda Parker (Keith), and Melba Shaw (David); his sister, Mavis Sullivan; his grandchildren, Corie Gerth, Ryan Blake, Jason Blake, Arielle Blake, James Robert Luther, I., Travis Nathaniel Luther, Shonna Parker, Bryon Parker and Chelsea Trammell; 21 great grandchildren; his "little buddy," Garrett Blake and his sister that Red called "my Emma," Emma Morris; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, December 29, 2022, at Southern Funeral Home, from 10:30 AM until time of services.

Funeral services will be held at the funeral home at 2:00 PM on Thursday with Bro. Lloyd Garner officiating. Interment will follow in New Jerusalem Cemetery, in Winnfield.

Serving the family as pallbearers will be Josh Cannon, Chris Hicks, Keith Gates, Scott Bruce, Pat Keith, and Amos Guillory.
