Mrs. Helen Gale Hayes, age 66 of Winnfield, Louisiana passed away on Thursday, January 6, 2022.

Born Monday, December 5, 1955 in Clarence, Louisiana, she was preceded in death by her parents, Lucille Desadier Allgor Nealy Shaw and Harry Allgor; and sisters, Jessie Potts, Brenda Ebert, and Charlotte Bryant.

Mrs. Hayes taught Sunday School for many years at Berean Baptist Church. She was a loving, caring mother, sister, grandmother, and great grandmother who loved raising all her babies. Mrs. Hayes was a woman of God who loved sitting on her front porch with her coffee.

Those left to cherish her memory include her husband of 47 years, Roger Hayes; sons, Shannon and Brannon Hayes; brothers, Bobby Desadier and James Allgor; sisters, Shirley Brown and Kathy Spikes; grandchildren, Jasmine, Braden, and Jaden Hayes; great grandchildren, Braxten and Kaylee Blackstock; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, January 8, 2022, at Southern Funeral Home, from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM, and again on Sunday, January 9, 2022, at Southern Funeral Home, from 9:00 AM until time of services.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM on Sunday, January 9, 2022 at Southern Funeral Home with George Guild officiating. Interment will follow in the St. Maurice Cemetery.

Serving the family as pallbearers will be Bobby Desadier, Brad Desadier, Jesse Blackstock, John Spikes, Anthony Runston, and James Allgor. Honorary pallbearers will be Eric Johnson, Donnie Spikes, Brannon Hayes, and Shannon Hayes.
