Helen Maxine Boyett

Helen Maxine Boyett, age 84, of Dodson, Louisiana, passed away naturally on August 30, 2026. Born on February 13, 1942, in Goldonna, Louisiana, Helen dedicated her life to education and touched the hearts of countless students throughout her distinguished career as a teacher.

Helen was preceded in death by her parents, V.O. Jones and Ruby Moody Jones, her husband of 61 years, Don Boyett, and her son, Koby Boyett.

Helen is survived by her son, Dion Boyett and his wife Teena; her grandchildren, Kie Boyett and his wife Tobin, and Kaylea Adams and her husband Logan; and her great-grandchildren, Sylar Boyett, Knox Boyett, Joah Boyett, Hadley Adams, Tucker Adams, Riley Adams, Stone Boyett, and Storm Boyett. Her legacy of love, wisdom, and unwavering support will continue to inspire her family and all who knew her.

A graveside service to honor her life will be held at Cypress Creek Cemetery on September 2, 2026, at 10:00 AM, Rev. Blake Boyett officiating, under the direction of Southern Funeral Home of Winnfield. Family and friends are encouraged to attend and celebrate the remarkable life of Helen Maxine Boyett as she is laid to rest at 2365 LA-505, Dodson, LA 71422.

Helen will be deeply missed but fondly remembered as a passionate educator and a cherished matriarch of her family.
