Harvey Ray Hudnall, age 75, was received into the arms of his Lord on Thursday, October 13, 2022, at LaSalle General Hospital.  He passed away from complications related to Parkinsonism. Harvey was born in Alexandria, Louisiana to the union of his parents, Willie Brenard and Mattie Elizabeth (Warwick) Hudnall.

Harvey graduated from Jena High School in 1966 and enlisted in the United States Air Force in 1967. While in the Air Force, he was stationed at Amarillo Air Force Base in Texas and Ramstein Air Force Base, Germany as well as other bases in the United States. He was honorably discharged in 1970 and joined the Louisiana National Guard in 1973. He was employed full time by the Guard and served on active duty for the United States Army. He was a veteran of Operation Desert Storm. He served over 29 years and retired as a Sergeant First Class. He earned the respect of his unit and the entire state.

Harvey was a member of Whatley Flaherty VFW in Jena, LA as well as a member of the Disabled American Veterans Organization.

Harvey became a Master Mason in 1977. He was a Past Master of the Ferriday, Louisiana Masonic Lodge and a two time Past Master of the Michael Dempsey Lodge in Jena, Louisiana.  He was also a Past 5 ^th District Deputy Grand Master and a Scottish Rite Mason.

Harvey was preceded in death by his parents, his sister Dixie Lloyd and her husband Walter, his brother Charles Hudnall, and his brother-in-law Don Mason.

Those left to love and miss him are his sweetheart of 45 plus years Martha Cay (McClure) Hudnall. Their sons, Luke Hudnall and his wife Melissa from Seattle, Washington, and Matthew Hudnall and his wife Jackie, their children Knox, Ellis Rose, and Crew Hudnall of Benton, Louisiana. His sister Patsy Mason and a host of family, in-laws and friends.

Harvey was a wonderful husband, father and grandfather. He was a Christian and a member of Fellowship Baptist Church. He served his country with honor, was brave in spirit and a defender of freedom always.

Visitation will be at Kinner and Stevens Funeral Home in Jena, Louisiana from 5-8 pm, Friday October 14, 2022. Services will be held at Fellowship Baptist Church Saturday, October 15, 2022, with visitation from 10:30 until time for the service at 12 noon with Reverend Carl Gulde and Reverend Shad Tibbs officiating. Following the service Harvey will be laid to rest with Military Honors and Masonic Rites in the Woodland Cemetery, Jena, Louisiana under the directions of Kinner & Stevens Funeral Home.

Those honored to serve as Pallbearers will be James Mason, Caleb Brown, Jake Lloyd, Mike McClure, Jeff McClure and Sherman Cockerham.  Honorary pallbearers are David "Cowboy" Robertson, David Bradford, Dennis Bradford and members of the Michael Dempsey Masonic Lodge and members of the former 1086th Transportation Company.
